As of early 2022, this tiny family-owned and operated Tex-Mex style take-out spot has been closed (gate down) for months and I miss them. I don't know if they will re-open, but I enjoyed coming here for the cheap grub. There was no pretense that it was "authentic" type of Mexican food, just the type of cheap and feeling menu offerings popular in many places. Like almost every other retail food service, the COVID-19 pandemic shut down was brutal on this little family business. So many little food services never re-opened, some took the risk to re-open while needing to completely change their operations and services to function during numerous pandemic regulations and limitations. This little spot had re-opened mid-2020 or so, had persevered through late 2021, until one day, I noticed that their gate was still pulled down despite their previously posted business hours. If the owners of this little business notice this review, FYI I miss you guys and I wish you the best and hope somehow you will re-open, or start a similar business in the area.

Amazing! We had it delivered via Seamless just because it popped up on the list and everyone was like ok cool. We put in an order for a burrito, grilled chicken/beans/tex mexican chili platter and jack cheese quesadilla. I added instructions for extra salsa and Sprite instead of a coke since it wasnt on the list of choices. They honored my requests. The order came out to $30 However the food was only about $20.. the rest was Grubhub delivery and tip that was big because it was cold out and late The burrito was HUGE and the ingredients were proportioned perfectly. No one thing was more than the other. Yiu knowbwhat I mean if you ever ordered a burrito and it had more rice than anything else. My husband ciuldnt eat it all. The platter was the same. Even ingredients.. although I wish the container wasnt split in two with a salad in the small section and the rest in the other. My brother had the quesadilla and had no complaints. We will be ordering again

This isn't my first (or second, or third) time to have Happy Fresh Taco. But I just opened a bag of crispy, salted, and slightly warm homemade tortilla chips, popped one in my mouth, and immediately felt compelled to come write this review. Happy Fresh Taco delivers to us in 20 or less (almost always less, score!). Their basic tacos are ~$1.25 a piece (double score!) Plus they offer bangin' "special tacos" - aka, the best thing you'll eat in Ridgewood. For 1 year and 6 months, this has been my go-to spot for fast, cheap, tasty bites. You won't be disappointed.

I've been ordering from this place for a year now and I've never had an issue besides them sending the wrong Snapple once. The delivery arrives 30 minutes or less and the special tacos (with the fried shell) are to die for. The only thing is I wish they would sell the French fries with cheese as a separate side dish and offer dessert.

I came here alone in a Thursday night at about 8pm. There was no line up and the staff were just waiting. This is a fast food restaurant that can dine in or take away. The seats are limited and not particularly plenty. I ordered two tortillas and a soda for about $7. Good value! The food tasted very good and was great in size. Also the staff were friendly. Even though this place serviced Mexican food, the staff were Chinese speakers. Overall, I'd repeat my business here since the staff were nice and the food was great.
